In 2015 we looked at various global markets as the European market was slowing down due to the incentive schemes tapering away. We travelled extensively and identified Australia as a key market with the right fundamentals, although at the time it was a market troubled by political uncertainty towards renewable energy support. We identified two Australian developers with pipelines and brought in one of our European clients where a JV was created with both. In order to support the JV, we brought in tax and legal advisors, technical advisors and PPA providers. Over 600 mw’s of projects reached shovel ready status by the end of 2018, with over 500 mw’s of projects in construction.
